Linda Horne died on Sunday night at the age of 92. At this point she said she was just happy to be not have to be a credit, or a symbol to anyone. She has lead a full life, and even at a time when most blacks in movies and entertainment were relegated to playing African royalty or uneducated fools, she never let herself be put down like that, or turned into a symbol. She was her own brand before the idea of branding yourself became a popular one. Not to long before she died she had a great interview with PBS which lead to a few really good articles on her. If you are interested in her, you should look at the various things people have been saying about her.
